Cedar Run’s Holiday Home Decorating Contest

Decorate your home to be the brightest in Cedar Run!

Entry Form Submission deadline: December 3rd

​

Judging will take place during the evenings the week of December 17th.

​

Winning entries will be listed in the newsletter and on our website.

• 1st Place winner - $75.00 gift card

• 2nd Place winner - $50.00 gift card

• 3rd Place winner – $25.00 gift card

Judging will be based on the following criteria:

• Creativity (originality, unique design and creative use of lights and decorations),

• Arrangement (display and placement of decorations),

• Special Effects (sound effects, fog, animation, etc.) and

• Overall Appearance (color coordination, balance, and overall attractiveness).

Contest Rules

• We encourage all homeowners to participate (must be current with assessments)

• Contest is limited to what can be seen from the street side of the house at night

• People or live animals are not allowed as part of the display.

• Participants are requested to keep their houses decorated through January 1st so that the community may view and enjoy them

• Judging will take place the week of December 17th from dusk until 9:00pm. Please have your decorations turned on by 5:00p.m.

• Winners will be notified on 22nd.

• Judges decisions are final.

Do you dress your dog up in a Santa costume, decorate your home like the Griswold’s’ Christmas or bake the tastiest Christmas cookie in the area? We want to see your Christmas spirit. Enter our Best of Christmas Photo Contest for your chance to compete to have your photograph published as the front cover of our newsletter.

How it works: Submit your best photo of the “Best of Christmas Photo Contest” to the HOA by midnight, December 15th. Each contestant will be entered for the chance to have their photograph published in the next issue of the Cedar Run newsletter, and all entries will be published on our website.

To enter the contest, simply click the link below. Fill out the online form and upload your photo. All photos should be 300 dpi and scaled to 550 x 400 pixels. If your photo is chosen as our winning photo, we will contact you via email. All ages can enter the contest, but please make certain that the photo you submit is your own, and be sure to tell a little about your photo.
